Hurricane Electric Hosts Hurriquake III
Fremont, CA - Hurricane Electric, a leading business Technical Service Provider, will host their third LAN party, HurriQuake III, in February. Hurricane Electric's two previous LAN parties provided over 175 gamers with 24 hours of food, fun and a little over 140 cases of soda.

As soon as the Hurriquake II party ended, gamers were begging for more. A gamer mailing list has sprung up to keep former participants informed of upcoming Hurricane Electric Hurriquakes.

Hurricane Electric's third LAN party, an overnight game playing marathon where people come together in a neutral location to compete against each other on a fast network, will follow the style of the original Hurriquake party that left gamers begging for more even after 24 hours. Quake II and III, Unreal Tournament and Counterstrike will be just a few games on hand for the party. Gamers are also encouraged to bring their own games other than those on hand.

Hurricane Electric will provide gamers with Internet access via their own national network, along with pizza and coffee for the all night event. Special prizes will be presented to gamers throughout the night in random drawings.

The event will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, and will last a full 24 hours, ending at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 23. Hurricane Electric will be providing tables and chairs for all that attend; gamers are encouraged to bring comfort items such as pillows and blankets.

Quarterly LAN parties at Hurricane Electric are being planned, which means gamers will have at least one 24-hour party every three months to look forward to.

Hurricane Electric has also teamed up with Califest 2003: D3 SuMMeR JaM. The 48-hour LAN party will be hosted at the Hurricane Electric Fremont facility on June 20-22.
